Art club gives students who are interested in art an opportunity to come together, make new friends and have fun while learning about art techniques. There are two groups with different students. Some choose to be in the Fall Group and some choose to be in the Spring Group. |
Battle of the Books | Mrs. Libra | All Year | Thursdays | Lunch | A fun, team based competition. Students read from a list of 16 books and compete against students and teacher teams to answer the most questions correctly. The top school team goes to the district competition in March. |
Dance Club | Mr. Orsini | All year | Tuesdays | 3:50-4:45 | Come learn to dance, we will be exploring a few different styles; modern, ballet, jazz, hiphop. There are some great opportunities to perform at different middle school assemblies and concerts throughout the year. Also we will be covering proper warmup and stretching techniques to keep our bodies in top shape and injury free. |
Drama Club | Ms. Dill | All year | Mondays | 4:00-5:00 | Drama Club is an exciting organization for students who want to learn more about drama, both on and off the stage. I the fall, we will learn all about drama, and in the sping, we will work towards a production with Junior Thespians. |

Homework Helpers | Mrs. Boyd | All Year | Weekdays | 7th Grade Lunch | Welcome to 7th Grade Homework Helpers! Are you having trouble with some homework or need help with some classwork? Are you trying to prepare to redo a test and need some guidance for the retake? Are you having a hard time finishing a project or other work that you need more explanation on.....well, come on down to A107 during 7th grade lunch and get the help you need from other students in your classes and Mrs. Boyd. The items you need are: a pass from Mrs. Boyd, your class supplies and your smart brain and we'll work it out! Please see Mrs. Boyd if you need additional assistance after school and arrange a time with her personally. Homework Helpers is offered one to two days a week after school....make an appointment now! Junior Thespians | Ms. Dill | All Year | Mondays | 5:00-6:00 | Junior Thespians is an offshoot of Drama Club for students who have had experience either on or off the stage. The students in this club will prepare for the Colorado State Junior Thespians Competition in December, where they have the opportunity to compete performance pieces, technical theatre designs, and participate in workshops with those working in Hollywood and on Broadway. |

Do you love solving puzzles and challenges? If so, this club is for you. We will complete brain teasers, jigsaw puzzles, and rubrics cubes. This is great way for you to start the day and charge your mind. Some lunch sessions will be available as well. |
MATHCOUNTS | Mr. Brunecz | Mid-October - February | Thursdays | 3:45-4:45 | MATHCOUNTS is a national program that provides students the opportunity to compete in live, in-person math contests against and alongside their peers. The competition series has 4 levels, school, chapter, state, and national, which are held on Saturday mornings. MATHCOUNTS is open to all sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. |
Minecraft/Coding Club | Ms. Schneider | Mid-October - Mid May | Tuesdays | 3:50-4:45 | Minecraft allows players to build with a variety of different blocks in a 3D procedurally generated world, requiring creativity from players. Other activities in the game include exploration, resource gathering, crafting, and combat. Other coding platforms available. |

Once members, students develop leadership skills through participating in 10 hours of community service (4 for SHMS and 6 in the community). |

Members learn through exciting competitive events, leadership opportunities and much more. |
