STORM Time/Sources of Strength

Peer Leader Training for Sources of Strength will be held Tuesday, Nov. 30th for all student leaders in this group.  Remember Sources of Strength is a peer leadership group that focuses on 8 areas that have been proven to build resilience in people and that teens can connect to when they are struggling.  Family Support, Positive Friends, Mentors, Healthy Activities, Generosity, Spirituality, Physical Health and Mental Health.  In a world where it is so easy to connect through sadness, shock and trauma, Source of Strength teaches us to connect through Hope, Help and Strength, and our peer leaders are sending this message to our community regularly.

November is Native American Heritage Month  November is Native American Heritage Month, or American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month. The month is a time to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native people. Heritage Month is also a time to raise awareness about the unique challenges Native people have faced both historically and in the present, and the ways in which tribal citizens have worked to conquer these challenges.  As we leave for Thanksgiving break, we are in a great position to pay tribute to indigenous people and their history and culture.  Happy Thanksgiving!

HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE  11/15/21 - 12/14/21  We are collecting non-perishable food items for our families in need this holiday season.  If you have the ability to provide any donations, such as food or gift cards, it would be greatly appreciated. Please reach out to or  if you have any questions.

To encourage student participation, students will be competing against each other during the weeks of 11/15-12/10. Donated food items will be collected in 1st hour core classes. Students may bring the items to their first hour core class.

These donations help support families within our school, especially in these trying times.
