Upcoming Events

Orchestra Concert Tuesday, Dec.  Dec. 14th at 7pm (students arrive at 6:15) in the Silver Hills Gym. Masks are required for all audience members.

Skate City TSA Fundraiser (Wed) Cancelled Unfortunately due to concerns about higher rates of COVID in our area, TSA has made the decision to postpone the Skate City fundraiser until later in the year.

Winter Break starts Friday, Dec. 17th and goes through Monday, Jan. 3rd.  Staff will be working both Friday, Dec. 17th and Monday, Jan. 3rd, finishing students progress marks and preparing for the second semester, and students will return to class, Tuesday, Jan. 4th.

General School Business

Congratulations to Our Junior Thespians Silver Hill's Middle School Thespian Troupe is pleased to announce that the following students received Excellent ratings on their Thespy performances at our Junior Thespian Conference last week:  Lillian Sergeeff, Sara Bierwirth, Olivia Moosberg, Hailey Voigt, Sofia Vela-Ueha, Jocelyn Evans, Ella Garlinghouse, and Grace Reitsma.  We are also thrilled to announce that Andrew Peters, Evan Clark, Lillian Dawson, Sarah Jensen, and Zoe Estrada were awarded Superior Ratings.  Congratulations to our Junior Thespian troupe.  We are so proud of you!!!

Last day of the first semester (Repeat) is Thursday, Dec. 16th.  Staff will be reporting out on student progress and scholarly habits at this mid-year point, and we will inform you when the final progress marks are completed.

Community News

Free Counseling Sessions for Youth  The Office of Behavioral Health has launched I Matter, a program to provide up to three free counseling sessions for Colorado youth, as a part of House Bill 21-1258. Parents can sign up and get resources and therapy sessions for their child. Youth, ages 12-18, can sign up for mental health sessions. Check out this article from Chalkbeat for more information.
