Career Expo: for All 8th Grade Students is an opportunity for 8th graders to explore careers, interview representatives to learn more about the various careers, do hands on learning and experience a professional setting (introductions, thank yous and handing them their business card). Thursday 11/9/23
Student professional interview dress is encouraged for the Career Expo with comfortable shoes
Students will also need their IDs and lanyard. Replacement IDs will be charged to student accounts.
Girls 7th & 8th Grade Basketball Practice this week for 7th Grade is Monday-Wednesday at 7am. 8th grade girls will practice on Monday-Wednesday after school from 4-5:30pm. This is our bye week, so there are no games this week.
High School Information Night for 8th Graders Monday, Nov. 13th OR Tuesday, Nov. 14th from 6:00-7:30pm at the ESC.
No School for Staff and Students (Repeat) on Friday, Nov. 10th in honor of Veteran’s Day.

Congratulations to all of our 7th & 8th Grade Girls Basketball players for amazing games last night. Our B Teams both had hard fought battles with games ending in a narrow loss and a tie. Congratulations to both A Teams for their victories against Shadow Ridge Middle School! All of our girls worked hard on the court, and we are very proud of all of them!

Dia de Los Muertos was this week. The annual holiday is a beloved tradition that originated in Mexico, and honors loved ones who have died and celebrates their memory by welcoming their spirits back into the homes of relatives. Thank you to our Lations in Action students who created the ofrenda in the library to help us celebrate.

Our Source of Strength Focus of the Week is Family Support. Whether related to us by blood, or by choice, these are the people who support, nurture, and care for us when we need them. They help us draw on our own strengths to be the best version of ourselves.

8th Grade Students and Families there are two field trips are coming up for 8th grade students. Please make sure to fill out the permission slips for these events due Monday 11/6/23. Career Expo (information above) and Future Forward: Bollman & Washington Square Tour: An opportunity for students to learn about the Technical Education Programs that are offered through Adams 12 in High School. Community News
Operation Freebird, hosted by the Adams County Sheriff with Adams County Human Services is Saturday, November 18th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event takes place at Mountain States Toyota, 201 W 70th Ave, Denver. Attendees will receive everything needed to make a Thanksgiving meal, while supplies last. Other resources available at the event include dental screenings, flu shots, mental health resources, veteran services, housing, and food assistance, along with food and fun for kids.
