Storm Spellers Do you consider yourself a WORD NERD?  Then STORM SPELLERS may be just the club for you!  We will meet on Thursday afternoons from October 20-February 16 to build vocabulary, use various word and spelling apps, play games, and gear up for the Spelling Bee! You DO NOT need to compete in the SHMS Spelling Bee to be part of this club!  Just come have FUN with WORDS! See Mrs. Pugnetti (A116) for details and our first meeting this Thursday after school from 4:15-5:00

Girls Basketball has started, and our first 7th & 8th grade games will be this Thursday, 10/27 starting at 6:15pm against Century.  8th grade will be at Century and 7th grade will be at Silver Hills.  6th grade will play at Century on Tuesday, 11/1.  For all grade levels, B Team games will start at 6:15pm and A game will start at 7:15pm. 

Exclusion Date for Students without Required Vaccinations (Repeat) 6th grade students that do not have an updated Tdap vaccination may be excluded from school starting Friday, Oct. 28th.  If you are unsure about your student’s vaccination status, please contact the Health Aide, Debbie Ventola.  Here is more information about the district's exclusion process and options for vaccination.

Community News 

Safe Street Halloween!  Northglenn Police Department's popular event will be a literal street of trick-or-treat fun on Kennedy Drive along Centennial Park. There will be stops provided by Northglenn High School student groups, spooky inflatables, music, candy, and trunk-or-treat cars from area businesses! It'll be fun for all boys and ghouls. The event is entirely outside, so please dress for the weather.  It is this Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Centennial Park - North of the Northglenn Marketplace, 104th Avenue and Interstate 25.  Parking is at Wells Fargo Bank parking lot or the northwest parking lot of the Northglenn Marketplace.
