Mrs. Hurst has been teaching 8th grade science at Silver Hills Middle School since 2008. Prior to Silver Hills, she worked as a Education Content Analyst at McREL and also taught 6th grade science in Massachusetts. She earned her Bachelor of Science in General Science and Biology and a Master’s in Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. While at UMass, she was a member of the Women's Crew Team. Originally from Michigan and Massachusetts, she now considers Colorado home and can't imagine living elsewhere. She is married with three young daughters who keep her very busy.
