Hello! My name is Mrs. Katz and I have been teaching since 2001 in Adams12 ranging from Kindergarten through the 8th grade, always teaching literacy in some fashion. I have always had a passion for reading, writing, and creativity, and I love sharing those passions with my students. I have a wonderful family; my husband Gabe is a firefighter, my son Xander, is an athlete who plays both football & lacrosse, and still finds time to read. My daughter Ryan plays lacrosse, is artistic in every way, and extremely strong! Xander is currently a junior, and Ryan is a sophomore at Horizon High School. Jaxon is our lab mix rescue doggy that keeps me company when my husband is at the firestation. I also have two kittens we adopted in last year named Mac and Mo, and one yellow canary named Sandy. I love spending time with my family, creating projects and crafts, gardening, adventuring and traveling to new destinations as often as we can. I am a really good cook according to my family as well as, a very neat and organized person! I love to garden and work in my yard during my down time and sneak in little reading myself when I have the chance. I almost always have smile on my face and am a genuinely happy person who loves the profession I am in! Teaching is not just what I do, it's who I am! I am grateful that my career allows me to look forward to each day while making a difference in the lives of my students and community. I am looking forward to a great school year, wherever that brings us together.
