I currently live and work in the north Denver metro area, but grew up in southern Colorado where I also started my first teaching experience. I have served as an educator in traditional brick and mortar schools and online schools over the past 21 years. I earned a BA in mathematics from the University of Northern Colorado in 1999, my principal certification through the Principal Institute in 2012, and a master’s degree in Special Education in May 2017 also from UNC.
In my time away from school, I enjoy spending family time with my husband and two sons. We are big baseball fans, enjoy the outdoors, and appreciate our cold Colorado days as we eat popcorn and play board games and cards during the winter. My husband, also an educator, and I enjoy time with friends & family, cooking, and listening to music. Someday we will find more time to hit the links and enjoy more golf than we are able to fit in right now in our life. Right now we are focused on supporting our boys, teaching our students, and serving our community to the best of our abilities.
