I am originally from the Northern Virginia area, where my interest in American history began. I received a B.A. in History from Brigham Young University. Shortly afterwards I moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, to attend Xavier University where I earned a Master’s in Secondary Education. In Cincinnati, I had the opportunity to teach English as a Second Language for about five years. My family and I moved out to Colorado in 2011 to be closer to our extended family. We love the Colorado climate and outdoor opportunities. I have one daughter and three sons, who keep me busy with their school and sport activities. I teach 8th grade American History in the Snow Core.
