Hello, my name is Julie Evans, and it is my honor to serve the community of Silver Hills as Principal. I have been lucky enough to be a part of the Silver Hills community since 2009 when I was hired as Assistant Principal. I have had the benefit of knowing and growing with this community since that time, and I have been lucky enough to be with so many amazing students, families, teachers and staff members as they have walked through these hallways - learning and growing.
I started my tenure as Principal at Silver Hills in 2012, and since that time I have enjoyed watching our students grow both academically and social/emotionally into young people who are ready to take on the challenges of high school and beyond. As a staff member, I have watched teachers come together to collaborative in the best interest of students, and I am excited to continue this work into the future.
I have deep roots in this community, as I grew up in this neighborhood and graduated from Northglenn High School in 1993. From there, I attended the University of Colorado Boulder where I specialized in Elementary Education and Theater. I was lucky enough to get my first teaching job at Northglenn Middle School teaching 6th grade, and quickly found that middle school was the perfect fit for me. I have been working in middle schools throughout the district ever since. I have a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction specializing in Science education, and also have my Administrative Degree.
I currently live in the community where I am raising my own family who also attend the Adams 12 Five Star School District. My roots in this community are deep, and my commitment to our kids as they grow into young adults is equally strong. I am thankful to be a part of the team that makes up Silver Hills and to be serving this community, and I look forward to many more years together.
Individually, We are One Drop, but Together We are a STORM!!!
